Hello, and we hope you’re enjoying Summer 2025!

Welcome to Therion’s newsletter, which we’re calling The Shift — a name rooted in the everyday rhythm of industry, and a nod to the bigger shifts in technology, data, and ways of working that are reshaping manufacturing.

In The Shift, we’ll share what’s happening at Therion HQ while also spotlighting the wider industry and exploring how digital tools can help you work smarter, faster, and more profitably.

Digital technology is now moving faster than at any point in our careers and we’re standing at a moment of real change. A shift, not just in technology, but in possibility and potential impact.

Observation: Why most SMEs aren’t ready for AI (yet)

Many manufacturers want AI. Few are ready. The biggest issue? Poor data quality and fragmented systems. Before layering on automation, it's critical to get the foundations right — clean, structured, consistent data is the real unlock.

That’s why our Chief Product Officer, Richard Larder, is working on a new way of joining the dots between policies, processes, people, and performance. The goal: to give manufacturers a dynamic system where knowledge, execution, and insights are connected, making compliance easier, operations smoother, and AI genuinely useful. We’ll share more on that soon.

Therion welcomes…

👋 Meet Lewis — the newest addition to Therion. With a background in engineering and manufacturing, he’s already delivered digital solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform that cut complexity and keep operations moving. Now, he’s bringing that energy to help us shape our AI-enabled tools for industry.

What we’re reading

Getting Started with AI Most manufacturers already hold the key: data.

As TechRadar notes in 5 ways manufacturers can embark on their AI journey, the smartest path is to start small—using AI for demand forecasting, automation, and unlocking ERP insights—before scaling up.

Preventing Breakdowns Before They Happen

Unplanned downtime costs the sector trillions. Business Insider’s How AI and robotics can help prevent breakdowns in factories shows how predictive AI and robotics are saving Coca-Cola and Siemens Energy millions by catching issues early.

A question for you

Want a fast way to test whether your digital tools are fit for purpose? Ask: “If this process broke, how would we know — and how fast?

That single question often uncovers hidden gaps: blind spots in reporting, delays in visibility, or heavy manual dependencies. It’s one of our go-to diagnostics.

Work with us

At Therion, we help industrial businesses modernise how they work with advanced digital tools, so data flows, reporting is faster, and operations stay competitive.

If you’re stuck with:

  • Endless reporting and duplication

  • Disconnected data and performance blind spots

  • Tools that feel like more work than help

…we can turn that complexity into clarity.

Until next time,

The Therion Team
